How to do the First UNMOD?

Best tips!

This is EXTREMELY important. I know I say this about most things but I’m being for real this time. This is the time where you either establish yourself as a bloc leader or as a “sheep.”

First of all you need to make sure your bloc likes you. Don’t talk over people and don’t be one of those power dels who says things like “you go next.” You can establish yourself in a bloc without having to do that.

Instead I would suggest talking to the dels around you about the power del. If you’ve noticed they’re annoying then chances are people around you also have. Say something like “Italy is annoying me. They keep talking over dels….What do you think?” They’ll probably agree with you if Italy actually is being annoying.

Make sure you are also engaging in the conversation. Take notes on what everyone is saying and occasionally ask questions (NOT EVERY TIME THOUGH). Pay attention to the dels who aren’t speaking and ask them about their ideas.

Also make sure you are the one establishing what’s going on in the first second. Say something like “How about we all say our ideas in a circle.” This establishes yourself as a leader. Chances are (if you had a good speech) the people around you will listen to you.

Make sure you aren’t being too overbearing too. You have to have a good balance between being verbally aggressive and chill. If there’s another power del in your group, then it’s good that you’re there: turn your bloc against them. Make it seem like they’re at fault for everything while you take control. It’s good to make a common enemy for your bloc to hate so they like you more. I know this sounds deceptive but it’s a strategy that ensures you can’t be overpowered.

Typically, I’ll look for 3-4 power dels in a bloc including myself. It’s important that you have some good speakers for presentation and Q and A while also making sure you can’t be overpowered.

I hope this helped! Thank you for reading.
